Interesting Week of Fishing

In the past few days we have gone from our warm Spring weather to cold and windy. With the temps dipping, it pushed in the cooler water and made fishing offshore a bit tougher than it has been for the fleet. We did manage to have some nice yellowfin and blackfin tuna and a mahi (we got that bite too on the greenstick!). Starting next Tuesday, the weather and the seas look wonderful. It will be the perfect time to head offshore – warmer waters will definitely improve the fishing.

This weather has not hurt our inshore fleet. We have had great catches of red drum, speckled trout (1 of our captains reported catching over 50 trout yesterday) and catfish. While the offshore may be too rough to get out this weekend, the inshore guys can tuck in and miss the elements – and they have been having great catches this week. May is almost full, so don’t delay! Book your charter today – online at or call (252) 473-7092
