We had a great day with Doug, Bobby and their kids. What a fun group to fish with. Fishing was slow at first but we managed to find some yellowfin. We continued trolling and ran into some flloating shipping tarps and had a very nice catch of mahi! We had a fantastic day on the open water today! Offshore conditions were perfect, and we were fortunate to hook two impressive bigeye tunas right off the bat. Although one managed to get away, we successfully reeled in the other, adding a spectacular catch to our day’s tally.
In addition to the bigeye, we caught several nice-sized yellowfin and blackfin tunas. These beauties are not only a thrill to catch but also make for some great table fare. Unfortunately, not every fish made it into the boat today; we had a few that slipped away, and the sharks sure had their share of snacks, making for some exciting moments on the water.
