Outer Banks Offshore Fishing Report – Bluefin Tuna Still Biting, Yellowfin Tuna Arriving

Offshore fishing continues to be excellent here on the Outer Banks, with bluefin tuna still providing exciting action for anglers heading offshore with Fishin Fannatic. Over the past several weeks, we have seen strong catches of quality bluefin tuna, and the bite remains consistent as we move deeper into spring. These powerful fish are giving anglers unforgettable fights and making every trip offshore an exciting experience.

In addition to the steady bluefin action, we are now starting to see the first yellowfin tuna of the season showing up offshore. This is a great sign that spring fishing is beginning to shift into high gear, and we expect the yellowfin bite to continue improving in the coming weeks. The arrival of yellowfin tuna always brings added excitement because it signals the start of one of the best offshore fishing seasons on the Outer Banks.

Spring is shaping up to be an outstanding time for offshore fishing, with multiple tuna species available and ideal conditions ahead. Anglers booking now can expect opportunities for bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, and other offshore species as water temperatures continue to rise.

If you are planning an Outer Banks fishing charter, now is the perfect time to get on the schedule. Prime spring dates are filling quickly, and the fishing conditions are looking excellent for the weeks ahead.

Book your offshore charter today with Fishin Fannatic at www.fishinfannatic.com or call to reserve your trip and experience what is shaping up to be an awesome spring fishing season! ⚓🐟

Bluefin Tuna Fishing is Still Great

The bluefin tuna bite continues to impress here on the Outer Banks, and the past few weeks have delivered some truly exciting fishing. These powerful fish are still holding in our waters, giving anglers excellent opportunities to hook into some big, hard-fighting tuna. Conditions have been lining up nicely offshore, and when the weather cooperates, the action has been steady with some really quality fish coming over the rails.

On recent trips we’ve been seeing solid marks and active fish, and it hasn’t taken long to get rods bent. Anglers have been battling some beautiful bluefin, with several fish in the “really nice” class that remind everyone why this fishery is so special. There’s nothing quite like watching a giant tuna explode on a spread and then settling in for the battle that follows. These fish are strong, fast, and put on an unforgettable show once hooked up.

The consistency over the past few weeks has been encouraging, and it looks like these fish plan to stick around a little longer. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to chase bluefin, now is a great opportunity to get on the water. Whether you’re a seasoned offshore angler or looking to experience tuna fishing for the first time, this is the kind of bite that creates memories.

Our charters are running whenever weather windows allow, and we’re ready to put you on the fish. Spring fishing is shaping up nicely, and the bluefin tuna have been the highlight lately. With the way things have been going, we’re optimistic that the strong action will continue.

If you’ve been thinking about getting offshore and tangling with one of these incredible fish, now is the time to plan your trip.

Awesome When It Comes Together

We have had a wild weather week here on the Outer Banks.  Between a cold front coming in, rain and windy days, it has made it more difficult to get off the dock,  The fishing really suffered from the drastic drop in the water temperature.    Thankfull, the water has warmed up and the rain is gone.  With the exception of Saturday, weather next week is looking good.

This is what it looks like when it all comes together – great day with awesome customers.  Book online at www.fishinfannatic.com or give us a call at (252) 473-7092

Tuna Fishing in the Outerbanks Update

We had a fantastic day on the open water today! Offshore conditions were perfect, and we were fortunate to hook two impressive bigeye tunas right off the bat. Although one managed to get away, we successfully reeled in the other, adding a spectacular catch to our day’s tally.

In addition to the bigeye, we caught several nice-sized yellowfin and blackfin tunas. These beauties are not only a thrill to catch but also make for some great table fare. Unfortunately, not every fish made it into the boat today; we had a few that slipped away, and the sharks sure had their share of snacks, making for some exciting moments on the water.

Overall, it was an incredible day of fishing, filled with action and good spirits. If you’ve been thinking about joining us for an adventure, now’s your chance! We still have a few openings available for May, and we’d love to have you on board for an unforgettable fishing experience.

Tight lines,
Captain Mark
