Finally Back Offshore – Bye Bye Erin

🌊🎣 Offshore Fishing is BACK on the Outer Banks! After a week on hold with Hurricane Erin, we finally made it back offshore today—and it did not disappoint. Several boats had quite a few blue and white marlin releases along with limits of mahi for the box! 🐟🔥

Great Fishing

Thanks to all of our great customers, we have been pretty busy and haven’t had much time to post.  These past few weeks have been great.  Today, our groups were lucky enough to have the mahi in close and we were able to get them on our nearshore charters.  This is something that rarely happens.  Looking like we have weather coming in this weekend and Friday will be our last trip until hopefully Monday. Have a few openings next week – should be good fishing after the blow.

Nearshore / Offshore is HOT on the Outer Banks

The last few days have been non-stop fun on the water – we’ve been reeling in plenty of Spanish Mackeral and some beautiful Blluefish! The bite is on, and the conditions have been perfect for a great day of fishing along our stunning OBX coastline.
 
Offshore has also seen quite a bit of action lately. Nice Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi and a few Marlin are being caught.

Awesome When It Comes Together

We have had a wild weather week here on the Outer Banks.  Between a cold front coming in, rain and windy days, it has made it more difficult to get off the dock,  The fishing really suffered from the drastic drop in the water temperature.    Thankfull, the water has warmed up and the rain is gone.  With the exception of Saturday, weather next week is looking good.

Having Fun on the Fish Advisor

The last few weeks on the FISH ADVISOR, have been great! Introducing the Ribbon Fish! These long, slender fish come with quite a fight and are usual caught in decent numbers. They are typically found suspended in depths of 35-70 feet of water and are caught trolling with metal spoons or other reflective lures. They are also caught with natural baits while drifting light tackle. They are incredibly reflective fish with an appearance of being chrome plated. They have a prehistoric look to them as well with their jagged and pronged teeth. Watch your fingers!
