Awesome Fishing the Past Few Days

The past few days have been really great!  On Thursday, we had Jarred and the guys out for a nearshore trip.  Kept the guys busy on the spanish mackeral and bluefish.  On Friday, we had Mike and friends out offshore.  We had a nice catch of yellowfin tuna and mahi.  We lost quite a few to the sharks and had a few that were not big enough – the weather finally became our friend and looks like it will remain friendly for a while.  This is a great time to get out there – book your charter today.  Call (252) 473-7092 or book online at www.fishinfannatic.com

Great Group Today on our Nearshore Charter

Today we had William, Angela and their family out with us – what a fun morning we had.  We ended up catching quite a few spanish mackeral and a bluefish!  Everyone got a taste of fishing in the ocean today and are all ready to go offshore for the “big ones’ next year.

We love it when our charters post reviews – and here is what Angela had to say today:

Angela Warner  recommends Fishin Fannatic Sportfishing in OBX.

We couldn’t have asked for a better captain (Mark) or deckhand (John)!
Today was John’s first day on the Fishin Fanatic, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about him! He was super friendly, caring. and knowledgable! This was our first time on a private charter with a smaller boat, not a headboat like we are used to. We had a patch of rough seas coming out of the inlet, and I had a major panic attack. John was right on it, he got me inside the cabin, talked to me, and explained what was going on, until I got calmed down! To me that is one hell of an awesome person, did I mention he is only 20 years old?! My family laughed at me (they don’t understand or suffer from anxiety) and John took control. THANK YOU JOHN! I’d take you home with us in a heartbeat!
Captain was pretty Awesome too, he wasn’t a jerk, like some captains we’ve had previously. He was friendly and chatty too!
Now onto the fishing… We had a great day, caught 30 mackerel and 1 blue fish. We had several more but we lost them off our lines.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day!
Next year we will give offshore fishing a try, because I need to see sharks, and hopefully catch something big!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this duo, YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!!

THANK YOU Captain Mark, and John!
We wish you many happy adventures.

We have a few openings left for this week – book your charter today!  www.fishinfannatic.com or call (252) 473-7092

Progress

Ever wondered how they get an engine out of a boat? R.I.Pieces old girl. May 1st can’t come soon enough, dying to get back on the water. Now that we have finally had some spring weather, the boats that were lucky enough to go fishing, brought in some really nice tuna, wahoo and mahi. This is a great indicator of what’s to come here in the Outer Banks.  #fishinfannatic #obxfishing #outerbanksfishing

Awesome time in the Outer Banks sportfishing for White Marlin

Mark thought we had a sailfish on.  The fish put on quite the show, jumping and rolling all over behind us.  As soon as it came out of the water on its first jump, Capt Mark saw that it was a nice White Marlin.  We quickly got Dylan in the chair – and what an awesome job he did, at only 13 years old.  Pretty work Dylan![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Our Tower trips this week have been terrific, with limits of amberjacks and quite a few little tunny.  The inshore trips have been producing some spanish mackeral and bluefish and some red drum.  Offshore sportfishing charters continues to produce some really nice yellowfin tuna along with wahoo and bonitos.  This week there has been quite a few marlin too.  Whichever you choose, the action has been great!  Capt. Mark
