Today we had Bruce and the gang out with us. It was another great day of tuna fishing. Limit of yellowfin tuna with a 150lb Bigeye kicker and then back home for lunch. Dillion got his workout today. After a 6 day break in fishing due to the weather, it was great to be back out there. We had an amazing day with some great customers – 5 Bigeye tunas, 3 yellowfin tunas and some skip jack tunas. It’s nice to have a full box and be back at the dock by 3:00. Love it when a plan comes together! John did an amazing job and we loved having him with us today! Great mates are invaluable! This northeast weather system that has had us at the dock since last Saturday is finally leaving. We will be back at it tomorrow. Fishing should be great – no pressure for the last week. We had a cancellation for this Sunday (6/27)- and we have a make up charter on Monday (6/28) that we still need a few for. Have been so busy lately, I have fallen behind on my updates, my apologies. Offshore actions (with the exception of the weather this weekend) had been great. Lots a really big yellowfin tuna, bigeyes and some mahi. The tilefish trips have been very productive as well, with us limiting out on every trip.
Our nearshore trips have been having great luck with the spanish mackeral the past few days and looks like that will just continue to get better all summer long.
Our inshore boats have been catching quite alot this past week – puppy drum, reds, speckled trout and sheepshead.
