Time To “Get With It” Here in the Outer Banks

If you ask Capt. Mark or our grandson what time it is, there response is “time to get with it” and that’s exactly what everyone is doing. The fishing has been red hot these past few days here in the Outer Banks and the weekend is looking great. Luckily, the storm out there will stay in the Gulf. We might see some rain on and off next week, but nothing to worry about. Offshore has seen a bunch of bigeye tuna, yellowfin tuna (with a bunch of citations), some really nice mahi. The tower has been producing nice amberjacks and inshore, the cobia are here along with the spanish mackeral. We have a few openings next week, so lets get “with it”.

Prepped and Ready

Engine room all clean and painted, ready to drop in the new engines this week.  We cannot wait to get back on the water.  May 1st cannot come soon enough. The weather here has been crazy, a few good days followed by a few bad.  The boats that have been lucky enough to be out, the fishing has been really good.  Some really nice tunas and mahi have been caught.  Looks like its going to be another great year here in the Outer Banks. #obxfishing, #fishinfannatic, #obxcharterfishing, #obxsportfishing

Progress

Ever wondered how they get an engine out of a boat? R.I.Pieces old girl. May 1st can’t come soon enough, dying to get back on the water. Now that we have finally had some spring weather, the boats that were lucky enough to go fishing, brought in some really nice tuna, wahoo and mahi. This is a great indicator of what’s to come here in the Outer Banks.  #fishinfannatic #obxfishing #outerbanksfishing

Great Fall OBX Fishing – Mixed Bag

Today we had Kayla and the gang from Wyoming out with us. What a fun day offshore. We really had a mixed bag today. We had some king mackeral, a bunch of really nice dolphin, blackfin tuna and a really nice wahoo. It was after dark by the time we got back at the dock, and the fish cleaning began, so, pictures were at a minimum.

OBX Fishing has been really good the past few days and the weather looks like it will continue to be perfect through the weekend.

Great Inshore Family Fishing

The weather here on the Outer Banks has been crazy this past week, alot of wind and rain.  Luckily, the past few days have been really nice.  Yesterday, we had a really great inshore trip.  Caught a bunch of spanish mackeral, bluefish and a few bonito.

Today we Shawn and his family out with us.  The spanish mackeral bite is still on.  Pictured below are Hannah and Evan showing off some of their fish.  This is a great trip for families with younger children and the action has been pretty steady the last few days.

Caught a Mixed Bag at the Tower Sportfishing

What a great day sportfishing at the Tower.  Today we had Johnny and his family with us.  We headed out to the Tower,  trolling on the way we caught a nice 65lb wahoo and some king mackeral and bonitos.  The tower produced some nice amberjacks this afternoon.  Trolling on the way back, we hooked into a 11′ hammerhead shark and the guys had a great fight on their hands for well over an hour.  Fishing charter has been really good lately – don’t miss out.

Awesome time in the Outer Banks sportfishing for White Marlin

Mark thought we had a sailfish on.  The fish put on quite the show, jumping and rolling all over behind us.  As soon as it came out of the water on its first jump, Capt Mark saw that it was a nice White Marlin.  We quickly got Dylan in the chair – and what an awesome job he did, at only 13 years old.  Pretty work Dylan![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
